This way current Discard all changes operation can be performed by first, selecting all files and second, clicking appropriate menu item. Change functionality of Discard all changes to Discard all selected changes and use check-box selections. You need to right-click the very narrow area between the line numbers and the +/- symbol for the Discard modified lines option to be available when you want to discard a contiguous block containing both added and removed lines.(This button is on right side of Files to Commit box, and under Sync and Gear icons. Files moved to the Trash are moved over as-is, so ensure you haventhe ability to view hidden files if you wish to recover files that are prefixednwith. If you run the latter from the root of the repository, it will discard unstaged changes in all tracked files in the project. and in all tracked files in the current directory (recursively) with: git restore. Right click on Collapse All/ Expand All button with two arrows. Desktop uses this API to move all new or modified files out from thenrepository as a way to preserve changes, in case the user wishes to recovernthem later. You can now discard unstaged changes in one tracked file with: git restore .Add a confirmation dialog that cannot be disabled (as operation is performed on, possibly, a large amount of files at the same time). For those on Github for Windows, it is not obvious where Discard All Changes is, so I wanted to share this: Select Files by using check mark next to names.
